Following recent instructions from Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, the municipal Department of Education and Training will follow up the Prime Minister's directions, and join forces with the Department of Health to keep a close watch on the epidemic situation of novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection in the city. The intention is to develop specific plans and measures to prevent the spread of the infectious disease amongst pupils and students across the city.

In addition, the Department of Construction will closely work with relevant agencies to select convenient places and develop optimal plans for building a dedicated coronavirus hospital in a bid to control possible outbreak of the life-threatening infection.

The Department of Health will cooperate with medical material suppliers to ensure the sufficient supplies, especially face masks, for local residents in order to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.

Also, disinfectant chemicals will be sprayed at such crowded areas as schools, markets, supermarkets, coach and railway stations, and apartment buildings.

Besides, government departments, agencies, organisations, district-level authorities, and hospitals around the city are urged to create their own detailed plans to proactively prevent the spread of coronavirus.
