Those who recently visited China to be isolated in the city amid coronavirus fears
Following the Prime Minister’s dispatch dated 3 February on intensifying preventive measures amid the coronavirus outbreak, both Vietnamese citizens and foreigners, who have visited or passed through 31 provinces of China over the past 14 days - the incubation period for the virus, arrive in Da Nang or return home to be isolated at the hospital for monitoring their health.
The city’s care centre for those who gave great service in the national revolution is one of the places chosen to isolate suspected patients under the Prime Minister's direction |
In addition, visitor arrivals to the city, who recently travelled to or passed through China’s Hubei Province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, are treated as infection cases.
Moreover, the municipal authorities also ask any local citizens, who recently travelled to China, to self-isolate amid concerns that they may have been exposed to the deadly coronavirus. The local authorities will closely monitor these cases to prevent them from leaving their residence and interacting with other persons. Their family members are also asked to take protective measures and limit contact with the self-quarantined cases. Residential areas where in-house quarantines take place will be sterilised.
The municipal Department of Health will organise quick testing for self-quarantined persons, and make a list of those who contacted these cases.
Special attention will be paid to strictly taking effective measures, as well as cleaning and disinfecting residential areas where self-quarantined citizens are living.
