On Sunday, around 1,000 trade union members working in organisions and businesses across Da Nang participated in a blood donation campaign launched at the Labour Culture House at 2 Cach Mang Thang Tam.

Organised by the municipal Trade Union, the campaign aimed to help ensure blood supply for public hospitals across the city to use for emergencies and treatment.

To ensure health safety for donors, the organisers provided hand sanitiser and face masks for them and checked their body temperature.

During the campaign, blood donors were provided with guidelines for the prevention of Covid-19 infection, and received free fabric face masks and water bottles.

As many as 431 units of blood units in total were collected at the event.
