15 additional suspected patients released from hospital after testing negative for virus
A spokesperson for the Da Nang Department of Health announced on Tuesday that 15 additional patients in Da Nang have been released from hospital after testing negative for suspected coronavirus. The discharged patients consisted of 13 Vietnamese cititizens and 2 foreigners.
Since 14 January, a total of 207 people in Da Nang had been kept in isolation at some public hospitals and designated sites to check for signs of coronavirus. 167 of them were Vietnamese citizens, whilst the remainder were foreigners.
Currently, only 5 suspected patients remains quarantined in hospital.
To date, the throat swabs and blood serum samples of 163 suspected cases with high fever in the city have been sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to test for the virus, and all have been confirmed negative.
