169.7 million VND donated to frontline healthcare workers
The Da Nang Journalists' Association has recently launched fundraising appeals to support frontline healthcare workers in the city in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

After of 7 days of launching, a total of 169.7 million VND has been raised from generous organisations, individuals, businesses and journalists inside and outside the city.
The donations support efforts of frontline healthcare personnel in the Da Nang General Hospital, the Hospital for Lung Diseases, the Centre for Disease Control, the Emergency Centre 115, the Dong Nghe Training Centre, and the Police Hospital No 199.

On Wednesday, representatives from the Executive Board of the 'Cup of Compassion Coffee' programme and the municipal Journalists' Association visited these 6 medical facilities to give cash donations to their staff.
Dr Le Duc Nhan, Director of the Da Nang General Hospital, expressed his sincere thanks to the municipal Journalists’ Association and reporters for their donations to support his hospital’s efforts, especially in the fight against coronavirus.

Mr Nhan pledged that the hospital’s staff would continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, and full deploy healthcare personnel and equipment, to cure the coronavirus patients in the city.
Director of the municipal Department of Health Ngo Thi Kim Yen could not hide her emotions when she received the donations from generous reporters and philanthropists. She added the donations would create extra motivation for frontline healthcare workers in the city to combat the pandemic.
