3 billion VND for reducing pollution at Bau Trang Lake and Phan Lang Canal
The Da Nang authorities have approved to spend around 3 billion VND from the city budget in reducing pollution in Bau Trang Lake and Phan Lang Canal, both in Thanh Khe District.
In details, about 2 billion VND will go to install new pumps and water pipes at the SPS2 pumping station in order to increase the efficiency of this station in the collection and transportation of wastewater to the Phu Loc Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The remaining one billion VND will be used by the municipal Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Company to build temporary dams to prevent untreated discharges of domestic waste into the Phan Lang Canal and Bau Trang Lake.
Also, pure oxygen aeration and chemical spraying will be implemented to remove odour problems from the Bau Trang Lake.
