36 others in close contact with the city's coronavirus patients test negative
Thirty-six others who had close contact with Da Nang's three coronavirus patients have tested negative for the virus, the Da Nang health officials confirmed on Saturday morning.
Till date, the city has traced 147 people in Da Nang who have been in close contact with the two British infected patients during their stay in the city from 2 - 7 March, and 106 others in direct contact with the city’s third coronavirus case to be confirmed in a 29- year old female resident of Da Nang.
Dr Ton That Thanh, Director of the municipal Centre for Disease Control, said that the city's health officials are tracking the remaining people in Da Nang who have been in direct and indirect contact with the city’s coronavirus patients in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
The city’s Health Department is urging people who had close contact with the three infected patients, or went to places where the three patients had visited, to monitor their health at home. Anyone develops or starts to show symptoms of the virus, including fever, cough or shortness of breath, he/she should go to the nearest medical facility to check for signs of the coronavirus.
