39-year-old woman under home isolation for indirect contact with coronavirus in the city
Dr Nguyen Trong Thien, Director of the Da Nang C Hospital, announced on Wednesday that a 39-year-old woman has been put under home quarantine in Son Tra District’s Nai Hien Dong Ward after escaping from his hospital.
Mr Thien said the woman came to his hospital for health check-ups in the morning of 9 March because she had a cough. The woman told the doctors that she had attended a 3-day conference at the Vanda Hotel on Nguyen Van Linh Street where the city's first two confirmed patients stayed.
After checking up on her health, the hospital’s doctors decided to place her in isolation at his hospital but she did not agree and fled the hospital at 9.00am on 9 March.
Dr Thien confirmed that the woman is now under home isolation because she had indirect contact with the city’s infected patients.
Mr Cao Dinh Hai, Chairman of the Nai Hien Dong Ward People’s Committee, affirmed that the woman and her 3 family members have their health monitored at home by local health workers.
