6 passengers on flight with coronavirus patients from Ha Noi to Da Nang traced
The Da Nang authorities have traced six passengers who travelled on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Ha Noi to Da Nang with the two UK visitors diagnosed with Covid -19. The two British visitors became the first two cases of the virus in Da Nang on 8 March, and these new cases relate to a 26-year-old woman in Ha Noi returning from Europe who became Viet Nam’s 17th Covid-19 patient on 6 March.
The six passengers consist of three Vietnamese citizens and 3 foreigners. The 3 Vietnamese nationals are kept under observation in their places of residence. Meanwhile, 2 out of the 3 foreigners have tested negative for the virus, and they remain quarantined in the city for 14 days.
The remaining traced foreign passenger had flown back to Ha Noi before Viet Nam’s 17th Covid-19 patient was confirmed on 6 March. The Da Nang Department of Health has already reported this case to the Ha Noi authorities to place this foreigner under isolation in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
