City's health officials track passengers on flights linked to Viet Nam's 53rd and 54th coronavirus patients
Officials from the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC) are tracing passengers on two flights linked to Viet Nam’s 53rd and 54th coronavirus patients.
The 53rd infected patient is a 53-year-old Czech citizen who travelled on the flight QR970 from Qatar’s Doha to Ho Chi Minh City on 10 March.
Some passengers who shared the plane with the Czech are now under quarantine in Quang Nam Province after arriving in Da Nang from Ho Chi Minh on 13 March on a Vietnam Airlines-operated flight VN126. They are quarantined in Hoi An City after travelling to this place.
A 33-year-old Latvian man became the 54th coronavirus patient in Viet Nam on 15 March.
The Latvian man boarding a Turkish Airways-operated flight TK162 from Istanbul, Turkey, flew to Ho Chi Minh City on 8 March.
Then, at 2.10pm on 9 March, he travelled on a Bamboo Airways-operated flight QH1521 to the Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang Province from Ho Chi Minh.
He flew back to Ho Chi Minh City on Bamboo Airways-operated flight QH1524 at 9.22pm on 13 March from the Phu Quoc Island.
A flight attendant who shared a plane with the Latvian man from the Phu Quoc Island to Ho Chi Minh City arrived in Da Nang on a Bamboo Airways-operated flight QH154 on 15 March.
The city health officials are urging all passengers who were on board a Vietnam Airlines-operated flight VN126 and a Bamboo Airways-operated flight QH154 to contact medial facilities to get support.
