Detailed itinerary of the city's British coronavirus patients revealed
At noon on Monday, the Da Nang Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control revealed detailed itinerary of the city’s first two coronavirus patients.
In particular, the British tourists flew to Viet Nam on the Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 departing from London, and they arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi at 4.30 am on 2 March.
These visitors then boarding the Vietnam Airlines flight VN163 from the Noi Bai International Airport flew to Da Nang.
After the two foreigners arrived in Da Nang at 10.20 am on the same day, they took a Vanda hotel-arranged taxi to the hotel located at 3 Nguyen Van Linh Street in Hai Chau District’s Binh Hien Ward.
In the evening of 2 March, the British visitors had dinner at the El Gaucho Restaurant of the Indochina Riverside building at 74 Bach Dang, Hai Chau District.
On 3 March, they stayed at the Vanda hotel, and had dinner at the Ca Lua Restaurant at 4 Binh Minh 4 Street in Binh Hien Ward.
On 4 March, the UK visitors played golf at the Ba Na Hills Golf Club, then came to the La Maison Deli Cafe and Restaurant on 2 September Street for dinner.
On 5 March, they played golf at the Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An which is positioned in the heart of the Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Resort & Spa in Quang Nam Province.
On 6 March, they participated in off-course golf activities at the Montgomerie Links golf course and they were likely to stay at the Montgomerie Links Hotel & Villas in Hoi An City. Also on the same day, they returned to the Vanda Hotel and had dinner at the Pizza 4P's Restaurant at 8 Hoang Van Thu Street.
During their stay in Da Nang, they visited the following locations:
The Da Thanh Grill Restaurant, 107 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Nam Duong Ward, Hai Chau District;
The Bamboo 2 Bar, 216 Bach Dang, Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District;
The 7 Bridges Brewing Company Restaurant, 493 Tran Hung Dao, An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District;
The Universal Pub, 234 Bach Dang, Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District.
In the evening of 7 March, they were tested presumptive positive for the coronavirus by the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC). Their results were also sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute for reconfirmation.
Currently, the two infected patients are under quarantine at the Da Nang General Hospital. In addition, the city’s authorities have issued quarantine order to hotel guests and its staff after the two British guests were found to be positive for Covid-19.
The Vanda Hotel, and the places where the foreign infected patients visited, have been sprayed with disinfectant chemicals.
The city’s health officials are urging people who had close contact with the two infected patients, or visited the above-mentioned places during the announced time, to monitor their health at home. Anyone develops or starts to show symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath, he/she should go to the nearest medical facility to check for signs of the coronavirus.
