Guests and staff at Vanda Hotel released from quarantine

29 guests and 97 staff members at the Vanda Hotel on Nguyen Van Linh Street in Da Nang, were allowed to leave the hotel on Sunday after two weeks in isolation.

The hotel was placed under quarantine, with all guests and staff restricted from leaving for two weeks after its two British guests were found to be positive for coronavirus on 8 March.

On the final day of their 14-day isolation period, all guests and staff at the hotel expressed their thanks to the municipal authorities and guests also thanked hotel staff, for their efforts in making all of them feel comfortable as much as possible to get them through the quarantine.

51-year-old Maier Marco from Germany, a guest at this hotel, said he applauded the government of Da Nang, and the government of Viet Nam as a whole, for taking drastic measures to tackle the coronavirus.

32 -year-old Fung Yuen Ting from Hong Kong, a female guest, said that she was satisfied with everything  and the hotel offered free food and drinks to its guest every day during the quarantine.

"We are very happy to be isolated in such a comfortable hotel. We also had a birthday party at the hotel. Thank the healthcare workers, police officers and the hotel staff for all they have done for us” the Hong Kong guest remarked.
