Mr Vo Minh, the Director of the city’s branch of the State Bank of Viet Nam, stressed the need for the city’s Investment and Development Fund to provide preferential-interest-rate loans for local businesses to help them cope with the impacts of the coronavirus epidemic.

Mrs Le Thi Nam Phuong, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the SKY-LINE High-quality Educational System cum Chairwoman of the Female Entrepreneurs' Association, suggested that the city should provide active support relating to minimum wages and social insurance regimes for daycare teachers of private pre-schools.

Some representatives from travel agencies highlighted the necessity for the city authorities to closely work with travel agencies to create action plans to help the tourism industry bounce back when the virus is contained. The focus should be on developing new and special tourism products, and seeking new sources of visitors from such countries as India, Malaysia and Australia.

Meanwhile, local economic experts underlined the importance of taking advantages of various freshly-inked new-generation free trade deals, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), to help businesses to expand their consumer markets and increase their competiveness.

In his remarks at the meeting, Vice Chairman Minh said the city will take actions to help businesses deal with lost revenue and disruptions.

Mr Minh also said that exemptions or reductions for admission fees at some entertainments areas and tourist attractions in the city would be offered.

Special attention will be paid to accelerating the construction of new industrial clusters and parks across Da Nang.
