Mandatory quarantine for all arrivals to the city from 31 countries categorised as 'dangerous communicable disease areas'

Da Nang has begun a mandatory two-week quarantine for all arrivals from 31 countries which are categorised as "dangerous communicable disease areas" in a bid to contain the further spread of the virus.

The quarantine order has been issued for all arrivals from Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvita, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, Northern Ireland, China, South Korea, and Iran.

International arrivals will be sent to the Sam Grand Hotel located at 7 Pham Van Dong Street in Son Tra District for a 14-day quarantine, whilst residents of Viet Nam and Vietnamese nationals migrating abroad will be placed in isolation at the Centre for Training National Defense and Security Knowledge at 86 Nguyen Chanh in Lien Chieu District.

In addition, the quarantine order has been imposed on all passengers who travelled on a Vietnam Airlines-operated flight VN18 from France to Ha Noi on 10 March, and a Qatar Airways flight QR968 from Qatar’s Doha to Ha Noi on 13 March.
