One billion VND in donations supports efforts of the city's frontline healthcare workers

The Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT) on Friday donated one billion VND to the municipal Department of Health to support efforts of frontline healthcare workers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Also present at the donation ceremony at the Da Nang General Hospital were Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia, and municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh.

Mr Le Khac Hong, AHT General Director, said his unit is willing to join forces with the municipal government and local residents to fight the new virus.

Director of the municipal Department of Health Ngo Thi Kim Yen expressed her heartfelt thanks to the donator, and said that the donations would create extra motivation for frontline healthcare workers in the city to combat the pandemic.

In his remarks at the event, Secretary Nghia highly praised the city's frontline healthcare workers for their efforts in fighting the deadly disease. He also called on local residents to continue their efforts to help the city in the battle against the virus
