The monkey was caught on the Thuy Son (the Mountain of Water) of the Marble Mountains Tourist Area.
This kind of wildlife usually harasses and attacks strangers, especially children. Therefore, the monkey will be released into another location which is far away from tourism sites by the staff of the Son Tra-Ngu Hanh Son Forest Ranger Division.
Earlier on 23 December 2019, the staff of the Son Tra-Ngu Hanh Son Forest Ranger Division also released a pig-tailed macaque into the wild on the Son Tra Peninsula.
