Test results come back negative for 35 others in close contact with the city's coronavirus patients
The Da Nang health officials confirmed on Friday morning that tests on 35 others who had close contact with the city’s three coronavirus patients have come back negative.
The three confirmed cases in Da Nang consist of two British nationals and a female resident of Da Nang. All of them are receiving treatment at the Da Nang General Hospital.
Till date, the city health officials have traced 144 people in Da Nang who have been in close contact with the two British infected patients during their stay in the city from 2 - 7 March, and 89 others in direct contact with the city’s third coronavirus case to be confirmed in a 29- year old woman, a resident of Da Nang.
As of Friday morning, tests on a total of 202 people in the city, who had close contact with the city’s three infected patients, have been confirmed negative.
“The remainder are awaiting test results for the virus from the lab of the municipal Centre of Disease Control. Their test results will be announced as soon as possible” Director of the city’s Department of Health Ngo Thi Kim Yen said.
