The city has banned visiting at all of its hospitals and medical centres from 30 March - 15 April in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus, and protect patients and hospital staff from the virus.

Only one caregiver is allowed per patient and is required to remain in the room. Restrictions are also placed on moving out of hospital from caregivers except in certain circumstances. These restrictions are introduced at all medical facilities across the city. Before entering the clinical areas, caregivers will undergo temperature screening, and complete a declaration form on their current health status.

Medical facilities are increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfection in the counter at the front desk, elevators (and elevator buttons), door handles, and public restrooms.

Also, private clinics in the city, especially otorhinolaryngology, oral and maxillofacial, and eye ones, are asked to suspend their medical check-ups and treatment services until April 15.

In addition, the municipal Department of Health has ordered all medical facilities across the city to suspend the training of their staff in other localities until further notice, except for coronavirus-related tasks and other special cases.
