One more imported case of Covid-19 takes total to 314 in Viet Nam

One new case of Covid-19 was detected among Vietnamese citizens returning from Russia on flight VN0062 which landed on May 13, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced on Saturday morning.

The new imported case has brought the total number of Covid-19 cases to date in Viet Nam to 314. All passengers who shared flight with Viet Nam's new coronavirus patient, were quarantined after arrival in Viet Nam, posing no risk of spreading among the community. 

The country has gone 30 days with no cases of community transmision since April 16.

Till date, 260 Covid-19 patients in Viet Nam have been given the all-clear. Among 54 patients still receiving treatment, three have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, and 10 have tested negative at least twice.

A total of 12,236 people who return from pandemic-hit areas or have close contact with Covid-19 patients are under quarantine or health monitoring.
