At 6am on Friday, the Da Nang police began to deploy a large number of officers on some important routes across Da Nang to carry out checks on motor vehicles in order to detect and handle traffic violations as part of a long-month campaign to improve road safety in the city.

On Friday morning, officers brought many vehicles from some streets into the services for advice and vehicle safety checks to be made. Traffic offence reports were issued during the day including drivers running red lights, two-wheeler riders without helmets and their vehicles not equipped with rearview mirrors, going in the wrong direction, reckless overtaking, weaving between moving vehicles, zigzagging through traffic, and careless driving when under the influence of drink.

These pictures show the police force is enforcing traffic rules in the city.
