The Da Nang Department of Health has made recommendations to the municipal government on the city’s quarantine rules for all people arriving from abroad that should remain in effect in a bid to stop new arrivals from bringing the deadly pathogen into the city.

The city will continue to quarantine all arrivals who are Vietnamese nationals and foreigners, including experts, managers and highly-skilled workers involving hi-tech industry for 14 days in local designated sites.

Also, arrivals are members of foreign representative agencies and international organisations or enter the city for diplomatic purposes will be placed in self-quarantine and put under medical monitoring at their places of residence or their workplaces for 2 weeks.

Since early April, Da Nang has quarantined 52 Vietnamese nationals and 3 foreigners arriving from abroad in its designated sites.
