Restrictions on passenger numbers and seat distancing adopted for passenger transport services lifted
A spokesperson for the Da Nang Department of Transport announced on Wednesday that the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport has lifted restrictions on passenger numbers and seat distancing adopted for all forms of passenger transport, namely rail, bus, taxi and coach, air and sea.
In detail, distancing of at least one seat applying for passenger transport services was removed starting from midnight on 6 May.
Also, passenger transport service providers nationwide are allowed to operate at full capacity.
However, certain restrictions and preventive measures adopted for passenger transport services remain in place in order to curb the spread of coronavirus. Included are strict implementation of health check procedures for passengers, and following all mandatory requirements such as wearing face masks and cleaning hands often with soaps and alcohol-based disinfectants in order to ensure the safety for passengers and the community.
Besides, all modes of passenger transport are required to be disinfected before and after their journeys.
