Localities in the mid-central region from Quang Binh and Quang Ngai, including Da Nang, will reel under heatwave conditions which are predicted during the upcoming week, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned. 

The hot spell is resulted from the influence of the developing southern low pressure trough associated with a strong foehn wind in the southwest region.

The districts of Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Lien Chieu and Ngu Hanh Son will see the average high temperature in the daytime hovering at between 25 and 32 degree Celsius in the daytime. Meanwhile, the lowest humidity is reported as between 62 and 90%.

The Hoa Vang and Cam Le districts are likely to experience sunny weather in the daytime with the average high temperature ranging from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius, whilst the lowest humidity is reported as between 58 and 87%.

According to regional weather forecasters, Da Nang is expected to brace for scorching heat with highs in the daytime soaring to 36 degrees Celsius,

The sweltering heat is expected to persist across the city during the coming week.
