It was a busy afternoon as Da Nang’s fighters battled two house fires, and a grass fire, in Hai Chau and Thanh Khe districts in the early afternoon of Wednesday.

At around 12.42pm, a fire broke out on the second floor of a house at 136 Thanh Long in Hai Chau District’s Thanh Binh Ward.

Many residents living nearby, in prompt fashion, used portable fire extinguishers available here to try to extinguish the blaze, and then called to the fire-fighters for help.  

Soon after, 2 fire engines along with dozens of firefighters, from the Fire Fighting and Prevention Division in Hai Chau district arrived on the scene quickly to extinguish the fire. After 30 minutes of firefighting, the blaze was completely extinguished. 

The other property in Tran Cao Van Street in Thanh Khe district, guesthouse’s fire broke out at around 1.15pm yesterday afternoon. The blaze was put out soon after.

Luckily at both incidents there were no injuries and the owners were both very lucky.

Also yesterday afternoon, the Thanh Khe district’s Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department received an SOS message from local residents about a grass fire along Le Thanh Tong Street in Thanh Khe Tay Ward. After that, fire engines and firefighters were immediately sent to the scene to promptly extinguish the blaze to prevent it from spreading to nearby residential areas.
