Viet Nam claims no community cases for 43 days
Viet Nam has stopped community transmission of Covid-19 for 43 straight days as of 6 am on Friday.

According to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the country has remained unchanged in its case numbers at 327. In total, 187 of those confirmed cases were classed as "imported" which were quarantined after arrival in Viet Nam.
Overall, 278 patients have recovered from the disease, accounting for 85 percent of the total confirmed cases in Viet Nam, and there has been no death till date.
The remainder are receiving treatment at nine medial facilities across the country, with eight testing negative once for SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the acute respiratory disease, and 17 negative at least twice.
A total of 8,869 people nationwide who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned from pandemic-hit areas are under health monitoring, of whom 49 were quarantined at hospitals, 7,008 at other designated sites and 1,812 at home and place of residence./.
