Viet Nam enters 35th straight day with no cases of community transmision
Viet Nam has claimed no community cases for 35 straight days, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced on Thursday.

As of May 21 morning, the country has remained unchanged in its case numbers at 324. In total, 184 of those confirmed cases were classed as "imported" which were quarantined after arrival in Viet Nam.
Till date, 264 Covid-19 patients or 82 percent of the total in Viet Nam have been given the all-clear while the remaining 60 are receiving treatment at nine hospitals across the country. The National Hospital for Tropical Diseases has the largest number of cases at present, 27.
Among the active patients, eight have tested negative at least once.
Nearly 12,990 people are still kept in quarantine in Viet Nam, including 307 in hospitals, over 7,600 in state-designated facilities and the rest at home.
