Viet Nam reports one new imported Covid-19 case, bringing tally to 326

Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on Monday evening announced one more imported Covid-19 case, bringing the country's overall tally to 326.

The 20-year-old female student who flew home from France on May 24 is the latest case of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Viet Nam, and she was quarantined immediately after arriving at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport.

She is receiving treatment in the Cu Chi Hospital after testing positive for the virus.

In total, 186 of those confirmed cases were classed as "imported" which were quarantined after entering the country. Viet Nam has stopped community transmission of Covid-19 for 39 consecutive days.

Also on May 25, five patients were declared to have recovered from the disease.

Currently, there are 15,412 people in quarantine across the country, including 58 at hospitals, 8,523 at others quarantine establishments and 6,831 at home.
