Da Nang and ACV ink aviation safety and security agreement

Leaders of the Da Nang Police Department and the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV) signed an agreement on Monday to ensure aviation safety and security, fire safety and effective rescue operations at the Da Nang International Airport.

Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh witnessed the signing of the agreement between the Da Nang Police Department and ACV.

Over the past 5 years, the two sides have worked together to detect and handle 477 violation cases of aviation security regulations, mainly disturbing acts, using fake documents, carrying prohibited items on planes and illegally entering the airport.

Da Nang’s police forces have also joined efforts with functional bodies to ensure aviation security in the city, and the stable and sustainable progress of the Vietnamese aviation industry as a whole.

In addition, the two sides have joined hands to ensure the ultimate safety of 283 domestic and international delegations entering the city, including the high-ranking officials of Viet Nam national government and foreign countries. In particular, ultimate security was ensured before, during and after the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) 2017 which is the culmination of Viet Nam’s year-long hosting of APEC meetings.

Some organisions and individuals from the two sides were honoured and rewarded for their dedication and commitment over the past 5 years.
