Da Nang and Gold Coast sign up for cooperation and friendship
Da Nang has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on friendship, partnership and cooperation with the Gold Coast City in the Australian state of Queensland.

The agreement was signed during an on-line ceremony on Thursday morning by Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and the Gold Coast City Mayor Tom Tate.
The document focuses on facilitating greater co-operation in the aspects of education, healthcare, tourism, trade and investment, natural disaster management, maritime, information technology and renewable energy.
It has been agreed by leaders of the two cities with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and friendship between Da Nang and the Gold Coast City.

Chairman Tho expressed his delight at the fruitful development of the bilateral relations with Gold Coast City over recent years.
Mr Tho remarked that the Australian city and Da Nang shared many similarities in their future urban development orientations. He hoped that Gold Coast would share its valuable experience and solutions in building smarter city with his city.
Mayor Tom Tate highlighted the agreement to strengthen bilateral relations between Da Nang and Gold Coast City, and Australia as a whole.
