Five more patients given all-clear for coronavirus in Viet Nam, bringing total recoveries to 335

Five of the remaining 25 patients in Viet Nam who tested positive for coronavirus have been discharged from hospital, taking the total of patients given the all-clear to 335 till date, Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said.

They are patients 344, 346, 348, 351, and 352, and all are now in a stable condition.

All recovered patients are then placed in quarantine for 14 days.

Viet Nam has no active coronavirus cases on 30 June morning. It means the total number of cases in Viet Nam still stands at 355, with no deaths, the Committee said.

The country has gone 75 days without a domestically transmitted infection.

In total, 215 of the confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival.

There are 20 Covid-19 patients currently in hospitals nationwide, of whom, one tested negative for the virus once, and test results came back negative for three others at least twice.

Currently, 9,877 people who are close contacts of coronavirus carriers and arrivals from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine across the country.
