Viet Nam confirmed one new imported case of the novel coronavirus on June 13 evening, bringing the country's total to 334, Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said.

The male patient, 29, a resident of Ho Chi Minh City, returned to Viet Nam from China on May 31. He was quarantined after entering Viet Nam at Mong Cai international border gate in Quang Ninh province.
His first test on May 31 was negative for the virus but he then tested positive June 11.
He is receiving treatment at National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
Latest update from Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control states that on 14 June morning, no-one in Viet Nam were positive for the potentially deadly virus. It means the total number of cases in the country still stands at 334 with 323 recoveries.
Viet Nam has seen no new locally transmitted cases for 59 consecutive days with no deaths till date.
In total, 194 of the confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival.
There are 11 Covid-19 patients currently in hospitals nationwide, of whom, one tested negative for the virus once, and test results came back negative for three others at least twice.
Currently, more than 10,270 people who are close contacts of coronavirus carriers and arrivals from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine across the country.
