Rain and thunderstorms possible for weekend nights after weekdays of blistering heatwave
Rain and thunderstorms are set to bring a significant drop in temperatures across Da Nang in weekend nights after weekdays of scorching heatwave, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said.
Regional weather forecasters say some parts of the central region from Da Nang to Binh Thuan Province will experience sunny weather in the daytime, whilst a few showers and thunderstorms are possible in the night time.
They predicted that temperatures are likely to stay lower over the weekend, with highs of between 33 and 36 degrees Celsius in the day time. The mercury is set to dip as low as 28 degrees Celsius at dusk and night - a stark contrast from previous nights.
Da Nang is facing scorching temperatures and sunny weather as it feels the impact of a 36 degree heatwave spreading across Hoa Vang, Cam Le, Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe and Hai Chau districts. These parts could see scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
Both Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts are seeing sunshine through the day, whilst showers and thunderstorms are predicted to affect these parts in the night time. The average temperatures range between 33 and 36 degrees Celsius.
