In recent days, Da Nang has been sweltering in temperatures as much as 40 degrees Celsius after an extreme heatwave swept across the mid-central region.
The city is reeling under scorching heat with forecasters predicting temperatures to soar between 36 and 39 degrees Celsius in the daytime, and even over 40 degree Celsius in some parts of the mid-central region, especially from 11.00am until 4.00pm.
Instead of staying at home, many residents have been seen coming to such public places as the 29 March Park for beating the heat, sitting in the shade of trees or taking a rest under the bridges during very hot days. Meanwhile, many manual labourers are still working under sunshine.
Here are some photos, taken by our reporter Xuan Son, during these hot days.
