Poor school pupils and university students across the central region on Wednesday received 175 scholarships, totalling 450 million VND, in Da Nang.

The scholarship programme funded by Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City offers financial support to school pupils and university students from countrywide families affected by the coronavirus pandemic, especially children of frontline healthcare workers in the fight against the deadly virus.

As part of the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper’s annual programme, entitled ‘Tiep Suc Den Truong’ (Giving Strength to Students), the scholarship programme is open to school pupils and university students throughout Viet Nam in need of financial assistance.
