Rescuers from the Bureau of Fisheries of the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the Da Nang MRCC No 2, and the Son Tra District Border Guard Station have worked together to return a stranded dolphin to the sea in Da Nang.

A dolphin were found stranded at around 7am on Sunday at a pier of the Da Nang-based Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) No 2 after it had been spotted in trouble in the waters near the Border Control Station CT15 of the Son Tra District Border Gate Guard Station.

It took rescuers several hours to successfully return the dolphin to the water.

Local functional bodies said the dolphin became stranded off the coast of Da Nang after becoming disoriented.
