Viet Nam's coronavirus recover rates surpass 96%

Statistics released by Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control show that Viet Nam has seen 323 people recover from the deadly illness. This means the percentage of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus in the country currently reaches 96.7.

Viet Nam has no active coronavirus cases on June 16 morning. It means the total number of cases in Viet Nam still stands at 334, with no deaths, the Committee said.

The country has gone 61 days without a domestically transmitted infection. 

In total, 194 of the confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival.

There are 11 Covid-19 patients currently in hospitals nationwide, of whom, two tested negative for the virus once, and test results came back negative for three others at least twice.

Currently, 9,234 people who are close contacts of coronavirus carriers and arrivals from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine across the country.
