Da Nang joins World Wide Fund for Nature Germany-funded campaign to reduce plastic in oceans
Da Nang is one of 10 Vietnamese localities to join the World Wide Fund for Nature Germany-funded campaign to tackle ocean plastic pollution, the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment announced on Monday.
The over 9.8 million EUR campaign will be carried out in the Viet Nam Administration of Seas and Islands and some relevant agencies, plus in 10 provinces, cities and districts in Viet Nam. These localities consist of Quang Binh Province’s Dong Hoi City, Ha Tinh Province, Thua Thien Hue Province’s A Luoi District, Da Nang, Quang Nam Province’s Cham Islands, Phu Yen Province’s Tuy Hoa City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s Con Dao District, Long An Province’s Tan An City, and Rach Gia City and Phu Quoc Island District both in Kien Giang Province.
The campaign is scheduled to be implemented within 4 years and 3 months starting from its launch date.
