Multi Vietnam wins iMap Choice 2020 for creating positive social impact

The Da Nang-based Multi Vietnam Joint Stock Company whose renowned product is MultiGlass has recently won the ‘Tech for Good’, one of the 9 categories at the iMap Choice 2020.

Multi Vietnam-developed MultiGlass won the first prizes at the Pitching Competition - SURF 2019, the Innovative Technopreneur Contest 2019, and the ‘Entrepreneurs of 2018 – 2019’ organised by Total Group. Besides, the device won a second prize at the National Entrepreneurship Awards 2017, and it was listed in the ‘Viet Nam Golden Book of Creativity 2016”. Notably, this highly useful product presented Viet Nam at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale 2020 which recently took place, at Hilton, San Francisco, the U.S.

Developed by Founder and CEO of Multi Vietnam Le Hoang Anh, a former student at the Da Nang University of Education, MultiGlass consists of 3 separate versions based on main technology platforms, namely IoT, iris recognition, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Products No 1 and 2 are exclusively for the disabled. Utilising version No 1, users can control the computer with their eyes and head gestures, whilst version No 2 allows users to control their household appliances thanks to IoT connection. Version No 3 targets more different users, including drivers.

Multi Vietnam has risen to fame for creating a positive social impact in the current context of the thriving Industry 4.0. More than 50,000 MultiGlass products have been sold, whereby the company records the average annual revenue growth of more than 145%.

Meanwhile, the winners were also unveiled for the 8 remaining categories at iMap Choice 2020, namely Wellbeing, Mother Earth, Good Food, Art and Tradition, Education for Inclusiveness, Youth for Community, Youth Tech for Impact and Youth Business for Impact.

iMap Choice 2020 was is an initiative within the framework of the project for promoting entrepreneurship and social creativity, which was jointly launched by the Ha Noi-based National Economics University and the Trinity College Dublin with the sponsorship of the Irish Embassy in Viet Nam.
