Three more patients given all-clear for coronavirus in Viet Nam, bringing total recoveries to 345

Three more Covid-19 patients in Viet Nam were discharged from hospital on 7 July evening, taking the total of patients given the all-clear to 345 till date, Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said. This means 93.5 percent of the cases in the county have made a full recovery from the illness.

Viet Nam has no active coronavirus cases on July 8 morning. It means the total number of cases in Viet Nam still stands at 369, with no deaths, the Committee said.

The country has gone 83 days without a domestically transmitted infection.

In total, 229 of the confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival.

There are 24 Covid-19 patients currently in hospitals nationwide, of whom, two tested negative for the virus once and test results came back negative for seven others at least twice. 

Currently, 11,373 people who are close contacts of coronavirus carriers and arrivals from pandemic-hit areas are under medical monitoring or quarantine across the country.
