C 17 Military Hospital ready to treat Covid-19 patients
Given its sufficient medical facilities and equipment and the strict implementation of infection prevention and control measures, the Da Nang-based C17 Military Hospital under the Military Zone 5 High Command, is ready to treat Covid-19 patients.

The statement was confirmed by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son during his an inspection visit on Tuesday morning to this medical establishment to assess Covid-19 response measures put in place here.
According to Major General Nguyen Dinh Tien, the Deputy Commander of Military Zone 5 High Command, under the Ministry of Defense, a Covid-19 testing lab has been put into use in the C17 Hospital.
In the first day of testing on Monday, the hospital's lab conducted Covid-19 testing for around 1,000 samples, half of which were taken from F1 and F2 contacts belonging to Military Zone 5 High Command’s forces.
Till date, the hospital has set up a 20 - bed isolated treatment area exclusively for Covid-19 patients, and the bed numbers here are expected to increase to 40.
Encouragingly, the hospital’s staff members have always upheld their undaunted spirit to join the city’s fierce battle against the deadly novel coronavirus.
