More cash and in-kind support for Da Nang to fight against coronavirus
The Da Nang People’s Committee and the municipal Fatherland Front Committee, on Thursday, received cash and in-kind support from some individuals, businesses and organisations to help Da Nang tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

In detail, on Thursday, on behalf of Hai Phong City’s leaders, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong City Department of Health Tran Anh Cuong donated 5 billion VND in cash and 200,000 surgical masks to the Da Nang authorities in a bid to help the city in the fight against Covid-19.
Besides, representatives from the Department of Public Security of Hai Phong City donated 200 million VND in cash and 30,000 surgical masks to their colleagues in Da Nang.
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh thanked leaders and people of Hai Phong City for the valuable support they provided for his city. He also took the opportunity to express his sincere thanks to 33 doctors and nurses who have been sent to Da Nang to help the city tackle Covid-19.

Also on the same day, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank), the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBBank), and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), each donated 5 billion VND, to the city. Notably, the Da Nang branch of BIDV donated one billion VND to the municipal Department of Health.
Also, Viet Nam’s BRG Group and the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) together donated one billion VND in cash and 20,000 antibacterial cloth masks, and the Prime Capital Vietnam Investment Company 150 million VND
The Filmore Real Estate Development Corporation donated 200 million VND, whilst Chairman of the Board of Directors of the corporation Nguyen Tan Danh personally donated 400 million VND.

Also on Thursday, Vice Chairmen of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Tran Viet Dung and Duong Dinh Lieu visited and distributed medical supplies, food and necessities to the district-level chapters of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee, medical facilities, and residential areas under lockdown.
The donations included 2,015 sets of protective suits, 10,300 surgical masks, 278 digital forehead thermometers, 4,190 bottles of hand sanitizer, 52 carton boxes of instant noodles, 10 carton boxes of mineral water, 220 carton boxes of milk, 4,054 jars of salanganes nest, 1,545 boxes of Want-Want cake, and 477 boxes of candy.
Previously, the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee had distributed 5,100 sets of protective suits, 150 eye shields, 163,000 surgical masks, 1,400 bottles of hand sanitizer and 50,000 pairs of gloves, along with other basic necessities for its chapters at district level; the medical centres in the districts of Hoa Vang, Cam Le, Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe; the Lung Hospital; the Cancer Hospital; the Mental Health Hospital; and the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control.
On Thursday morning, the Trade Union of the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment donated 3 Nakami water purifiers totalling 30 million VND to the city’s Department of Health.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Da Nang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Danapha) donated 5,000 bottles of Septishield hand sanitizer and 15,600 bottles of Zvezdochka 0.1% Nasal Spray to frontline staff.
