The recovered people, aged 8 months – 59 years, were transfered to the field hospital for treatment after they had tested positive for the virus.  Seven of them are from Da Nang and the remainder are from neighbouring Quang Nam Province.

All of them have made a full recovery from the illness and they are no longer contagious as they no longer suffer from fever, cough and shortness of breath, Doctor Nguyen Dai Vinh said.

Upon their discharge, the close monitoring of the 4 patients will be put in place during their 14-day self- quarantine period at their places of residence following the Health Ministry’s guidelines.

Till date, Da Nang has recorded 15 people having recovered from Covid-19 after the city saw a second wave of Covid-19 infections in late last month.

Doctor Ngo Thi Kim Yen, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Health, said the treatment of the remaining Covid-19 patients in the city is kept on course. Positively, more people will be given the all-clear from coronavirus and discharged from medical facilities in the coming days as they are on their path to recovery.

Doctor Yen also remarked that the Health Ministry is now concentrated on promptly adjusting the protocols and accelerating the clinical trial process to find an appropriate treatment regimen for each patient’ physical condition and pathology, especially those who already have a pre-existing medical condition.

Under the Health Ministry’s current regulations, a person infected with the novel coronavirus is deemed healthy once she/he shows no sign of fever for three days and tests negative twice in three days. Other signs include improved clinical symptoms, overall stable status and vital signs, normal organ function and improved chest X-ray readings.
