On Monday afternoon, Da Nang welcomed 19 doctors and 18 nurses from its neighbouring province of Thua Thien Hue who were sent to help the city tackle Covid-19.

Medical workers from Thua Thien Hue Province have a high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention.

Currently, they are staying at a hotel located on Le Duan Street in Hai Chau District and they get ready to work together with their colleagues in Da Nang to treat Covid-19 patients.   

On behalf of the team, Dr Nguyen Dac Ngoc, Head of Personnel and Organisation Office under the Department of Health of Thua Thien Hue Province, said that he and his colleagues from Thua Thien Hue Province will do their utmost to to help Da Nang quickly gain control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Previously, Hai Phong City and Binh Dinh Province had sent their healthcare workers to Da Nang to help it respond to a second wave of Covid-19 infections.
