Mr Huynh Dung, the Deputy Head of the Labour and Employment Office under the Phu Yen Province Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said that all Phu Yen returnees from Da Nang have tested negative for Covid-19, and have declared their health status before leaving the city.

All returnees from Da Nang will be placed in isolation for 14 days in a military facility located in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province as per guidelines from Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

Statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Labour, Ward Invalids and Social Affairs show that, as of 28 August, there have been around 13,000 immigrants stranded in Da Nang due to the coronavirus pandemic and they wish to return home.

Till date, citizens of Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Dak Nong and Phu Yen provinces stuck in Da Nang have been carried to their hometowns on vehicles arranged by their local authorities.

In the coming days, the provinces of Quang Binh, Hai Duong and Lam Dong will work closely with Da Nang government to bring home their citizens.
