A combined total of 11 billion VND in funding from Da Nang government and private businesses will be used on both floral displays and lighting decorations across Da Nang in a bid to create joyful and boisterous atmosphere during the Tet Festival which will begin on 12 February, 2021.

As compared to recent years, this year’s decorations are expected to be conducted in a more economical manner but they will not be less eye-catching and impressive than those installed previously.

Major downtown streets will be festooned with strings of illuminative lights and ornamental decorations dangling between the stately trees that line the thoroughfare casting a soft Tet holiday glow.

With regard for floral displays, colourful flower towers and pots will be placed at 13 locations. Included are sections of the Bach Dang Street riverside promenade opposite Da Nang Administrative Centre, the intersections of Nguyen Van Linh - Hoang Dieu, and Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly, the East Sea Park, a park on the corner of the Hung Vuong and Nguyen Thai Hoc streets, a pavement section in front of 12 Tran Phu, and squares northwest, southwest and northwest of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge respectively.

In particular, some of the flower spots will be enlivened with flower baskets and floral decorations featuring the image of lovely water buffalos, the symbol of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2021 in the Vietnamese zodiac.

As for lighting decorations, chains of eye-catching decorative lights will take shape at 16 designated downtown places, generating wonderful lighting effects at night.

Amongst them are locations in front of the T-bridge on Bach Dang street, a path to Dien Hai Citadel, the fence surrounding the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the intersections of Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan, and Nguyen Huu Tho - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, the busy sections of such big streets as Tran Phu, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Pham Van Dong, Vo Van Kiet, Vo Nguyen Giap, Nguyen Van Thoai, Le Duc Tho and Hoang Sa.
