Da Nang could see cloudy and slightly wet weather, no chilly days over coming days
Under the newly-formed cold snap fast moving from Viet Nam’s northern border area, mid-central localities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai, including Da Nang, are seeing a slight plunge in the mercury and scattered light rains, plus strong wind level 3 in the mainland, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said in its latest bulletin.
The arrival of the wet, cold weather made an end to a streak of a few consecutive sunny days in some localities, including Da Nang. Still encouragingly, this cold snap’s intensity is much weaker than the previous ones, and it is also likely to last fewer days, therefore its impact on Da Nang is project to be modest.
In detail, average lows have fallen further to 16 - 18 degrees Celsius in many parts of the region from Quang Binh to Da Nang’s neighbour, Thua Thien- Hue Province, a bit warmer than those recorded in the previous cold spells.
Likewise, Da Nang and its neighbouring Quang Nam are bracing for a bit higher mercury which is hovering at the lowest as 16 -18 degrees Celsius.
From Thursday into Sunday, 31 January, Da Nang is bracing for cloudy, wet days with some scattered light showers, regional forecasters said.
Meanwhile, according to the poular fanpage ‘Thoi tiet Da Nang’ (The Weather in Da Nang) in the coming days, Da Nang is highly likely to see the lows of 19 -20 degrees Celsius, and the highs of 24 – 26 degrees Celsius.
A bit cold is just felt in the early morning and at late night. Pleasantly warmer weather, in hopefully, is expected to come in Da Nang during the upcoming Tet Festival.
Waters off central regional areas from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai are now bracing for scattered rains, strong winds at levels 6 - 7, with a gust of level 8, sea waves from 3 - 5m high, a strong rough sea.
