The Tet flower selling area at the 29 March Square is the largest of its kind in Da Nang.

According to Da Nang Green Trees-Park Company - the manager of the Tet flower market at the 29 March Square, a combined total of 619 stalls at the 29 March Square have been put up for lease by public auction. The rental fees will range from 2 million VND - 4.4 million VND per 50m2 stall, depending on their chosen positions.

Ms Nguyen Thi Quynh Diem, Director of the city’s Green Trees-Park Company cum Head of the Management Board of the Tet Flower Markets 2021, said, till date, relevant agencies have already completed their preparations for the much-awaited event.

In particular, starting from 4 January, the city’s Green Trees-Park Company has displayed the bidding rules and other related regulations, plus stall classification instructions, in front of the company headquarters. The stall subdivision at the largest-scale Tet flower market had been already completed by 24 January.

Mr Bui Quang Trung from Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City who has more than 20 years of experience growing Tet flowers said he has prepared for over 500 pots of kumquat, apricot blossom, and other eye-catching flowers for sale at this year’s Flower Market.

Mr Trung remarked that his Tet flowers were showing off good yields and rich variety due to recent favourable weather conditions. He hoped that he would sell out his flower pots before Tet, thereby earning high profits to celebrate happy and joyful Tet with his family members.

Likewise, another large flower market will be opened at a vacant land lot opposite the district’s Administrative Centre over the same period. A combined total of 121 stalls have been put up for lease by public auction. The average rental fees are set at between 3 and 5.5 million VND per around 80-130m2 stand.

In addition, residents in Hoa Vang District will find it convenient to buy gorgeous floral varieties at a Tet flower fair at the Hoa Vang District Administrative Centre in Duong Lam 1 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, suburban Hoa Vang District.

Chairwoman of the Hoa Phong Commune People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Van said this is the first time that Hoa Phong Commune has hosted the Tet flower fair in Hoa Vang District. Therefore, relevant local agencies have already rolled out detailed plans on environmental sanitation, and fire prevention and fighting, in a bid to ensure the success of the upcoming event.
