All staff members at Da Nang Airport test negative for Covid-19
About1,300 staff members working at Da Nang Airport have tested negative for COVID-19, the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC) has confirmed.
The taking of swab samples from these people was conducted on Sunday by medical workers from CDC Da Nang, based on the application of group testing method under the guidance of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.
According to Mr Nguyen Van Hon, Director of the Da Nang Airport Operations Centre, the above-mentioned testing ensured absolute safety of the staff, and made no interruption to the airport’s normal operations.
Their negative testing results for coronavirus have helped the airport’s employees feel safe and secure to serve passengers, and asserted the fact that the airport is really a ‘safe venue’, hereby building passengers’ high confidence in travelling by air, and ensuring passengers’ high confidence in travelling by air.
Affiliated airports of the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV) are drastically implementing the COVID-19 prevention work in accordance with the directions of the Prime Minister, Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV).
At the same time, ACV has also closely working with airlines, ground service companies and relevant units to strictly implement rules of aviation operation to ensure safety for passengers amid the pandemic.
Employees of all 21 active airports in Viet Nam were scheduled to test for COVID-19 in the coming days, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) last week said.
Viet Nam has 22 airports, but the Van Don Airport of northern Quang Ninh Province has been closed since 28 January after a group of employees were found infected with coronavirus.
