Checkpoints set up at entry/ exit points to keep coronavirus out of Da Nang
Fourteen checkpoints have been set up at major entry and exit points in Da Nang in an effort to reduce the risk of bringing the deadly virus into the city amid the fresh resurgence of COVID-19 in North Viet Nam and Central Highlands.
All arrivals to Da Nang are required to have their temperature checked at the checkpoints |
The checkpoints have been put in place at Ta Quang Buu Street, a section of Hoang Van Thai Street nearby the Khanh Son Landfill in Lien Chieu District, approach roads to the Hai Van Tunnel in Lien Chieu District, a section of 14G road at the foot of the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, a section of National Highway No 14B nearby the De 89 Restaurant, the Tu Cau T-junction, the DT605 road leading to the Bo Bo Pine Forest, a Traffic Police Station in Hoa Vang District's Hoa Nhon Commune, the Cocobay Entertainment and Tourism Complex in Ngu Hanh Son District, the end point of Tran Dai Nghia Street in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward, the Da Nang Inter-Provincial Coach Station, the Da Nang Railway Station, the Da Nang Port, and the domestic passenger terminal at Da Nang Airport.
Healthcare workers, police officers, border guards, and volunteer students are staffing these checkpoints around the clock.
All arrivals to Da Nang, including foreigners, from other parts of Viet Nam are required to wear face coverings, fill out health declaration forms, and provide contact details and their Da Nang address in a bid to help local health officials to contact them if they have been in contact with suspected or confirmed case of the virus.
