One road traffic accident recorded in Da Nang during Lunar New Year break
Only one road traffic accident was reported in Da Nang from 10 - 15 February (the 29th day of the 12th lunar month to the 4th day of the 1st lunar month), a decrease of one against the same period last year, the Traffic Police Division of the Da Nang Police Department has said.

Police officials said that the incident was reported at around 10.40pm on 10 February. A 55-year-old man was driving his motorcycle on Chuong Duong Street in Ngu Hanh Son District's Khue My Ward when his vehicle collided with a 4-seater car travelling in the same direction.
The collision caused the car to flip over onto a sidewalk. Police officials had to rescue the car driver from the overturned car, but, fortunately he only suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was critically injured in the crash.
Between 10 and 15 February, 61 road traffic violations were handled. The majority of traffic violations involved two-wheeler riders without helmets and their vehicles not equipped with rearview mirrors, going in the wrong direction, reckless overtaking, weaving between moving vehicles, zigzagging through traffic, and careless driving when under the influence of drink.
